DIRECTIONS: 181N for about a mile to the second traffic light, then make a left onto Pine Cone
Ln. Follow to the end, and make a left unto Sparta Stanhope Rd. School will come up quickly on
the right hand side of the road.
DESCRIPTION: First visible is a partially fenced playground for smaller children. Continue
further behind the school to find a larger, spread out play area filled with various colorful climbing
equipment and swings.
AMENITIES:
PARKING: Medium sized lot
CLIMBING: A good variety of bars, rings, walls, mountain, tree climbers, jungle gym, steps, and
chains
MERRY-GO-ROUND: One standing spinner
SEESAWS: One four-seater
SLIDES: Three toddler, two corkscrew, three chute
SPORTS: Two ball fields, four basketball half-courts
SWINGS: Four toddler, 16 full size
OTHER COOL STUFF: Hopscotch and four square sidewalk games on the basketball court
MAKE A DAY OF IT:
Take East Mountain Rd across Rte 15 to head towards Sparta Books to explore their children’s
sections or join them for story hour on Tuesday mornings. Alternatively, head North on Rte 181
to cool off at Sparta Lanes where you can bowl as a family and enjoy a treat from their snack
bar.
